FIVE steps to creating an ARGUMENT ONE pager

STEP ONE: Your THESIS on the primary issue you


identified from your case study - Write it largely and
creatively on your paper.

STEP TWO: Include two claims that best support the thesis. They should be different kinds
of claims (fact, value, policy)
EVIDENCE:
STEP THREE: You need 2 pieces of evidence per claim. Your evidence should be varied and specific to prove your claim
(and ultimately, your thesis). Order your evidence in a manner that sets up a line of reasoning.
STEP FOUR: VISUALLY REPRESENT (in words or pictures) contributing factors and consequences of the primary
issue you’ve focused on.
