Construction

Step 1 - Print out the pattern piece and tape it together.

Cut out your desired fabric, make sure you have prewashed
your fabric to prevent shrinkage.

Step 2 - With right sides facing, sew the front and back
bodices together at the shoulder seam. Sew using a
1cm seam allowance and with a zig-zag stitch or use an
overlocker.

Step 3 - Open the bodice out and pin the sleeves at the
armholes with right sides facing. Sew using a 1cm seam
allowance and with a zig-zag stitch or use an overlocker.
Step 4 - Once both sleeves are sewn in, with right
sides facing sew the side seams of the top and the
sleeves in one go. Sew using a 1cm seam allowance
and with a zig-zag stitch or use an overlocker.

Step 5 - Take the neckband piece and stitch down the short side with right
sides together using a 1cm seam allowance, making a circular band

Step 6 - Fold the neckband in half with wrong sides together and press.
This will create the top of the band with a folded neat edge and the
bottom of the band with the raw sides.
Step 7 - With right sides facing, attach the raw edge of the neckband to
the neckline, evenly distributing the fabric. You may need to stretch the
neckband slightly as you pin it for it to fit properly. Sew using a 1cm seam
allowance and finish the raw edge. Now press the neckband upwards so
the seam is facing the inside of the garment. You will now have a clean
and finished neckband.

Step 8 - Hem the top by folding the edges up by 1cm and pressing.
Stitch around the hem using a standard or double needle for a neat
