CFR and its magazine; FA: have started a series of report and conferences on the Middle East : KW will be
inaugurating the series.
WHY KUWAIT ?
There is a strong interest from the readers of FA and also from the 500o members of the CFR
We believe that there is a lack of objective and independent information on Kuwait and the truth is that
KW is at a turning point and the Oil Crisis has become a Wake Up Call for the country : The country now yes
or yes MUST
o 1) diversify away from oil and
o 2)Pave the way for Private Sector growth.
Regarding FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) there are so many challenges and opportunities happening in
the regulatory and legal framework ( Chaning the business environment)

The Conference :
Where: Takes place in NYC at the HQ of CFR
Date: 5 October: we carefully chose this date because it is after the UN and 2 days before the IMF Annual Meeting

Our conferences are moderated by members of the CFR: Mike Levi (energy), Donna Hrinak (Boeing),
Shannon Oneil and other
Full day event: SHOW PDF Programme : Show the panels, the dynamics of the panels (about debate, engaging the
crowd, interactive)
The Road Show : Very important : Our events are not about speech and theory : They are about practive: FA
organizes well before the event the high level one on one private meetings between US investors and KW
businessmen.
FA has already conducted a delegate survey and there are some personalities interested ( SHOW PDF LIST
ATTENDEES TBC) but if a company has a list of persons / sector they wish to tarjet, FA Publisher Linda Hammes will
invite on their behalf. So we are talking about a tailored made, custom made event.
