To ensure a well-run program responsive to participants

Functional Area 1: Management

Management is most effective when you have a driving team behind you. In order to achieve this you
must hire highly qualified individuals. Management is the most important point to a successful
program. I will set a standard for the employees by setting a good example. I will offer extensive
training for my employees. I will also do things to show my appreciations for their hard work. I will
also constantly challenge the staff to constantly better themselves. There will be strict code of ethics for
the staff to follow and this will show that professionalism is very important to our program. I will hold
monthly meetings to go over any policy changes, and allow a time for them to say anything they feel
should change, things they believe are working, or things they believe we should improve on and
together as a team find the best possible solution to any problems. In a classroom setting I will manage
the classroom by being prompt when arriving to work. Putting in the extra effort to stay late if needed
to prepare for the next day. Organize projects and other activities to optimize time management. I will
work as a team with any other teacher that is in the classroom with me. Combining ideas when
planning lessons, activities ect.
