METHOD OF STUDY:
NEED OF THE STUDY

The Hathigumpha Inscription is the main source of information


about the Jaina Kalinga ruler Kharavela. His year-by-year achivments in
this inscription, states Richard Salomon, “approximates the characters
of a pure panegyric”. This is an early prototype of Prasasthi style of
inscription.

It is give us information about his defeating a confederacy of


Tamil state. The inscription also states that Kharavela brought pearls,
horses, elephants, jewels and rubies from the Pandya country
indicating the wealth of the Tamil world.
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
The present study has designed with the following chapters.

SCOPE AND DELIMITAION OF THE STUDY


As the present study is the time bound research work and to be
completed with in one semester for the degree of under graduate. It is
very limited in its scope it highlight the role of Hathigumpha Inscription.
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

For preparing this dissertation care has been taken to review all
the literature available on Hathigumpha Inscription . The work based on
original records available from different sources.
METHODOLOGY
Various methods are followed in research work. It the method and
approach are appropriate, the investigator will be able to draw proper
result. In all the research ulation of Methodology. The research
procedure various from study to study.

Any research activities must be will planed before hand. The


present study based on historical research. The research has collected
data from primary and secondary sources.
ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION
After collecting data, the collected data have been analysed and
interpreted and result have been drawn conclusion has been drawn
accordingly.
