1. Whether or not the US should abolish the electoral college.

I think it is a good way to develop states that aren’t as big as other states in the US like New York
or Washington. Electoral college works like every presidential candidate needs the support of
smaller states as well not just the big ones since most of them get the same number of votes, in
turn those candidates need to get in favor of those states. If you are a candidate, how would you
get those states liking? For me, I would make infrastructures for them, make their economy a bit
better, or such things. You make plans for them, and if you win, and you’ve done those promises
you made, that state would be developed. Like this in the Philippines, which is just a majority
vote of the people, candidates would also tour around the country, but would don’t really make
that much effort unlike on unpopulated areas that much. So no, I don’t think it’s a good thing to
abolish the electoral college.

2. Whether or not the Philippines should adopt the federal form of government.

We aren’t really a rich country by definition. In my opinion, this would hurt the country more
than it would benefit us. The only state that would flourish in a federal Philippines is the Luzon
area. Most of the economy is in here, most of the people is in here, if we would turn into a
federal, the other states wouldn’t get enough budget, people, education, and other needs for a
flourishing state. I’ve also heard stories, which I’m not sure are true, but some say in the
province, there are many lords, dynasties that are already “governing” a certain part of those
provinces. So a federal government would just get them more power in turn. Maybe if we are a
richer, less corrupted country it might be possible, but now, no, I don’t think so.
