Final Activities:
MODULE 10 – Political Self
1.) Basing on the Philippine Political Culture, what are your observations in the current governance of the Philippines,
may it be in National or Local Government Unit and identify specific Philippine political culture/s that you have observed.
We all know that a structurally related collection of conceptual and material structures makes up Filipino political
culture. It is but not only not just the opinions, sentiments, accepted behaviors, languages, and accoutrements that vast
groups of Filipinos share as they generate, distribute, and deploy political power inside, outside, and in interactions with
the state. And what I've typically noticed about our political culture is that "volunteer" campaign workers carry a
commonly accepted mental script that those who support a candidate's campaign will be compensated with such a position
and/or government projects if the candidate wins.
Additionally, I have noticed that members of one faction at Malacañang Palace often imagine (and embellish)
stories about how the opposing camp is trying to harm them. These stories are what causes the opposite group to harbor
animosity toward members of the outgroup.
As for the Marcos presidency right now, the Philippines is currently beset with numerous challenges, from rising
inflation to worrying levels of public debt and a bruised peso, but Marcos, who won the presidency by a landslide, said he
was able to manage it with the help of the "best and the brightest" members of his Cabinet. But as for my judgement
without having prejudice to the Marcos presidency, right now his governance is not that excellent. After almost six
months, his administration doesn’t cause that many changes about the numerous challenges that Philippines faces.
Furthermore, I think that he should make a move that will make the citizen of our country to be united since the past
election made a division to the people of our country.
2.) In what other ways can you be an ideal citizen of the nation. Explain your answer. (5 Points)
I will strive to be an active participant to bring about change and make sure that other citizens are heard in order
for me to become a good citizen. I'll follow the law, continue to learn, and be informed, participate in democracy, and act
in other people's best interests. To guarantee that there is an effective democracy in place, I will always try to express
different viewpoints so that no one person speaks for everyone instead everyone speaks for themselves and others. In
addition, I'll work to eliminate inequalities to guarantee that each person has their own autonomy and respect. By
supporting others, standing up for their rights, and holding a strong belief in the equality of all individuals, I will also
appreciate them, participate in their community, and advocate for others.
Since I believe that a good citizen improves society and makes a positive difference in the world. Building a
society that values the needs of every single citizen is an important step in moving our world forward. When we cultivate
a sense of belonging and support, we create a society that can thrive. Being a good citizen is not just a superficial label
that a person can be proud of. It is about having a sense of responsibility towards the society that we live in and for the
world we will leave behind. Being a good citizen is more than just voting every year. It’s about being an active citizen.
Being an active citizen means being involved in your community and taking action to make it a better place. By being a
good citizen, you are helping to enrich the lives of others as well as yourself.
Learning 2.0
By Cheryl Capozzoli
The more I search, the more I find,
The more I find, the more I read,
The more I read, the more I think,
The more I think, the more I learn,
The more I learn, the more I do,
The more I do, the more I create,
The more I create, the more I share,
The more I share, the more I collaborate,
The more I collaborate, the more I communicate,
The more I communicate, the more I connect,
The more I connect, the more I learn, the more I know.
The poem teaches us that reading, experimenting, and learning lead to increased knowledge and intelligence. The
more you repeat anything, for instance, the more it will stick in your memory. The more you share those information’s
you acquired using the books and internet, the more it will be going to retain. This is true for both linguistic and physical
repetition, such as when playing tennis or football. Aside from that, by listening to and mimicking the words you hear,
you can learn your mother tongue in this way. The same is true for foreign languages that you don't know. Your
intellectual capacity is growing as a person every day because of studying and acquiring new information.
