The term “voice” is used in grammar to indicate if the structure of a sentence is active or passive. In
active sentences, the doer of the action appears as the subject of the sentence. In passive sentences, the
emphasis shifts to the receiver of the action.

Present Perfect I have baked the cakes. The cakes have been baked by me.

Past Perfect I had baked the cakes. The cakes had been baked by me.

Future Perfect I will have baked the cakes. The cakes will have been baked by me.
