PASSIVE Voice
A sentence is in the passive voice when the subject is acted on by the verb. The
passive voice is always constructed with a conjugated form of to be plus the
verb’s past participle. That sounds much more complicated than it is—passive
voice is actually quite easy to detect.

Passive Voice Characteristics:

1. The Passive Voice has the form of the verb to be.

2. The Passive Voice uses the past participle of the verb.
3. The subject of the sentence is being acted upon.
