Normally, a consonant sound at the end of a word is linked to a vowel sound at the begining of
the next word

reaD It /riːdɪt/
drinK IT Up / drɪŋkɪtʌp/

2. Consonant - consonant
Remember to pronounce all the consonant sounds in words, especially the ending ones. The
ending consonants of the former word together with the first ones of the latter word make a
group of consonants linked smoothly and try not to drop any sounds within that consonant
group
