Ways on how USM students can contribute by volunteering in community service.

In general definition, community service is an unpaid work that perform by a person or group
of people that gives benefits to a community. Volunteering in community service can gives
many benefits for students especially university’s students. This is because, it can improve
our mental health and well-being. Not only that, students can apply what they learn from
classroom to the real life situations. Hence, this will help in developing skills in leadership,
increasing social awareness and responsibility among other people. One of the ways that
USM students can do is hosting a charity event. Students can gain lots of experience in
leadership by conducting this event as it needs lot of times and energy to host an event. This
program can help in collecting a fund and money to those needed. Not only that, students can
also do a volunteering at a local rescue where they can play with pets, clean cages and do
some organizing. Lastly, students can host a virtual volunteering where they can just grab an
opportunities to make difference without being physically present.
