Pre-activity (5 minutes)
Aim
To exchange information by playing a board
• Ask students to think of one thing about themselves that other
people might find surprising, e.g., I’ve eaten snake./I’m going to
game and talking about your partner Australia next month./I have a black belt in karate.

Skills • Explain that students are going to play a board game in pairs to

learn as much as you can about your partner.

(heads = move 1 square, tails = move 2 squares). When they land
on a square, they answer the question, giving as much information
as they can. If a student lands on a square with a question they
have already answered, they move forward to the next square.
• Put students into small groups for a feedback session. Tell them to
talk about their partner.
