drop to zero.
(2) Make sure the nose wheel steering accumulator retains 3000 PSI (20,685 kPa) after the main hydraulic system has
dropped to zero.
(3) Make sure you let the accumulator pressure and temperature stabilize and after three minutes check for leaks.
NOTE: The stabilized pressure will be different from the 3000 PSI (20,685 kPa) maximum due to the thermal
effects. A pressure of approximately 2600 PSI (17,926 kPa) is typical.
(4) Set the main gear squat switch simulator to ON GROUND.
(5) Press the NOSE WHL STEERING switch (S277).
(6) Verify the nose wheel steering is functional by completing at least two full sweeps prior to an accumulator pressure drop of
1500 PSI (10,342 kPa).
(7) Set the BATT switch to OFF position.
(8) Lower airplane to floor and remove jacks. Refer to Chapter 7, Jacking - Maintenance Practices.
(9) Remove the nose strut extension restrainer.
(10) Remove the main gear switch simulator.
