The advancement in Automation industry over the years has changed the way of life. With a firm
conviction that my future lies in the areas of Electrical and Electronics that shapes our future for
centuries to come has prompted me to take up a Masters degree in Electrical and Electronics.

My schooling days provided a solid platform in mathematics and science which helped build
considerable confidence. I have performed up to the expectations of my teachers by securing good
merit percentage throughout my School life and in the PreUniversity course. It also became pretty clear
that a challenging engineering course like Electrical and Electronics which would test my mathematical
ability and suit my inquisitive nature was tailor made for me.

For the past four years of my undergraduate course at Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, I have
enjoyed long hours in the labs devoting myself for learning Analog Electronics circuits, Circuits
simulation and Measurements, Control Systems, also the working of Micro Controller Systems. In these
four years of study, I have strived to maintain an approach of expending independent effort in all my
endeavors. Learning by myself and sharing my knowledge with others has been most worthwhile, when
comprehending a concept. During the course I was exposed to variety of subjects like Signals and
Systems, Field theory, Analog Electronic Circuits, Control Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Modern
Control Theory, Logic design, Micro Processor and so on, which were extremely interesting. But what
grasped my attention the most were the courses on various aspects of Control systems. The ever
expanding world of Automation Engineering never ceased to amaze me and it filled me with an
eagerness and passion to be a part of this field. Changes like these bring opportunities waiting to be
exploited with them. Through the coursework and research, I want to build a strong foundation in
Networking that will empower me to innovate.

The final year project titled ‘Automatic Testing Equipment for Power Supply Unit’ carried out at
Electronics and Radar Development Establishment, one of the most reputed organizations in India.
During the course of this project, I was able to learn how to cope with the industry requirements and
also got acquainted with the latest technology.

I am currently working as an Assistant System Engineer for ‘Tata Consultancy Services’, which is one of
the leading service providers in Asia. Being a part of the corporate world has helped me to have an
insight on how things actually work in an organization.

Outside of school, I enjoy socializing and meeting new people especially with different cultural milieu. I
believe myself to be an honest, reliable, and friendly person. My experiences during my studies have
enabled me to be independent, organized and self disciplined which proves invaluable preparation for
university life. Besides the college academics I was actively involved in extra-curricular activities. I have
organized intra and inter college fests. I am a very positive person who enjoys life but at the same time I
understand the importance of studying. I also value the importance of commitment and working
successfully as a team member. I will not let the fact that I am away from home interfering with my
lectures or work.

In this extremely competitive world one cannot afford to rest on their acquired knowledge, but must be
prepared to constantly learn more. This is the primary reason I am looking for a Masters degree from a
reputed university in the U.S. It would definitely help me in gaining an edge over others in the industry.

have come to understand from feedback of various students that the Masters Program in

______________________ is a structured program but yet it accords one the flexibility to explore and
realize ones potential to the fullest. An extremely distinguished faculty, a milieu replete with academic
activity, and a graduate program which blends high quality course work and research facilities at the
cutting edge of every sub-field are the factors which have motivated me to choose the ( Name of the
University) for graduate studies. I believe the program offered will help me acquire the versatility
needed to reach my full potential as an engineer. In addition, I am attracted by the university's close-knit
student community and its emphasis on teamwork, which makes your university the ideal choice for
pursuing my graduate studies. At I look forward to build on my existing knowledge, and I want
to give myself the opportunity to build an understanding and a career focusing in Control Systems
through this program.

It is my aim to utilize the facilities and expertise available in the university, combine it with my efforts
and strive to achieve my goals and set high standards. My deep interest and commitment, I am sure
would help me in giving my very best and provide me requisite confidence to meet the academic
challenges that your curriculum would pose. And hope to be counted among the one the better alumni
on passing.

I believe that I possess the motivation, intellectual ability and preparation to set out on this exhilarating
and arduous path of graduate studies and make significant contributions to this field. I am fully aware of
the commitment and perseverance required for research and I believe that my aptitude and drive will
see me through this challenge. My conviction tells me that I have a lot to offer as a graduate researcher
and a lot to learn as a graduate student. I would consider it a privilege to be admitted to the graduate
program in Control Systems at your university. I feel I am ready for university life and am looking
forward to it. Studying for my post graduate degree, I will put forth my best efforts in turning my
knowledge, research, and experiences I have at ______________________into practice.

In conclusion, I would like to add that the essence of University education lies in the synergetic
