S T U D I O S Mission Statement

We’re a socially engaged architect as developer firm. As architect-developers, we leverage power to the community by
not only designing structures, but systems. By designing economic, social, and environmental systems with our physical
interventions or “habitats” we provide agency to communities. We are true community developers.
LOCALE

The 5 Boroughs + Greater New York

To make an impact and maintain geniune connections with communities, we want to give agency
to those who have the least. Some of those communities are within municipalities, more specifiallly
the city of New York . We plan to tackle issues like food deserts, affordable housing, community
centers, and programmatic inefficiencies in communites like culture centers and museums.

Companies

We have three incorporated companies.

The first is our umbrella company, STUDIOS, which focuses on financial
planning, property management, and marketing.
The second is for the architectural arm, DESIGN, which is a
professional corporation focusing on design at different phases and scales.
The third is the construction arm, BUILDERS, which facilitates the
actualization of a project with in-house specialist or connecting with
appropriate contractors.

Stockholders
The four of us are the only stockholders in all three corporations, but set
up individual LLCs for each development project we build to raise capital
for that project. The development arm sells a stake up to 49% until project
completion. We then sell the majority stake.

Licensure
We are licensed to practice in the New York tri-state area. New York,
New Jersey and Connecticut.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

The Gangway

This intervention seeks to mitigate the segregation between the homeless and UWS residents
by creating a HABITAT where the homeless and housed can practice art with stability as
opposed to the instability of performers and their spaces within the subway.

S T U D I O S
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Jefferson Rural Development

We’ve been partnering with the rural community of Jefferson,New York. We seek to provide
fresh food, education and prompt medical services. All of the previous entities lacking in the
community.

S T U D I O S
THE NATIONAL AUDOBON SOCIETY

Rooted in Communities

We relate to the mission of providing education about

environmental protection and believe in the distribution
of those services throughout the communities we work.
Like The Audubon Society, we are deeply rooted in
this community. We will leverage this overlap to form
productive partnerships.

We welcome a “hands on” client.

Twenty -three state programs, 42 Audobon naturre centers, and nearly 500 local chapters.
All working together as One Audobon.

THE PROPOSAL

Optimize building footprint Reduced Construction costs

+ and
square footage of programming building time

Our plan is to distribute the function of education into not only in the
proposed building, but throughout the community. By reallocating some square
footage into a means of alternate education and binding both the aviary
and education elements, we can accomodate the needed program and offer
a means of marketing that’s deeply tied into the community.

S T U D I O S
MARKETING AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We offer design services beyond those simply focused on building

construction, and plan to assist in creating a marketing package
that can be used both to increase awareness and support for the
project, as well as attract potential donors to the project.

MARKETING AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH

With the savings on this side of the building costs, we will develop
an educational tool using QR codes that can be accessed from the
murals to learn about the birds depicted, as well as the Audubon
Society’s goals and needs.

This will serve to create community awareness, involvement, and

can help raise funds for the Audubon Society.
