TAPIR ANDINO
The tapir is small and lives near the forests
of Piura and Cajamarca.
It is a species of perissodactyl mammal of
the tapyrid family.
It tends to be solitary and can be active both
during the day and at night.
The causes of their danger of extinction are
deforestation and habitat fragmentation,
uncontrolled hunting, forest fires, drought
OSO ANDINO
The Andean bear is a species of mammal in the Ursidae
family
Andean bears live along the Andes mountain range, from
Venezuela to southern Bolivia, and are both terrestrial and
arboreal.

This bear is constantly threatened due to changes in land


use and hunting.

They feed on achupallas, fruits, roots, bark and leaves.


They also feed on mushrooms, cacti, insects, animals and
carrion.

The Andean bear has the characteristic of having white


spots around the eyes.
CONDOR ANDINO
The Andean condor is a species of bird in the
Cathartidae family.
It is a large black bird with a collar of white
feathers surrounding the base of the neck and,
especially in the male, large white spots on the
wings.
The habitat of the condor is located along the
Andes Mountains, in provinces such as
Catamarca, Jujuy, Tucumán, Salta, Tierra del
Fuego and in the central area of ​the country.
The main threat that affects the Andean condor
is the consumption of toxic baits, an illegal
practice used to control predatory species.
