Abstract
The purpose of conducting this research was to have a professional’s perspective on the
generation of automated presentation slides, content, and tone adjustment with the help of
Artificial Intelligence tools. It takes a lot of time to have the content ready and a lot of effort to
have it in the desired tone, format, and length. Then have the perfect slides for the presentation
of Content. The idea was to solve this issue and make it a lot easier with the help of Artificial
Intelligence. The research aimed to have insights of the problems of the professionals working
in the concerned industry, see if our solution would fix their problems and how likely they are to
adapt our solution and what will be the possible threats or hurdles while implementing the
solution. The research was conducted by hosting an interview of a professional working in the
field of Information Technology who must go through the official documentation process daily.
Several questions were designed to cover all the aspects of the solution and its feasibility. The
interview was conducted online through Google Meet, and it was recorded using a free screen
recorder Open Broadcast Software. The research implied that people would want to have such
solutions in their workplaces which would make their lives easier and the work a lot less time
and effort consuming. We also discovered that there are not many people who are very open to
using Artificial Intelligence in Pakistan as of now. Most of them are unaware and many aware
people are afraid that it will take away their roles and leave them jobless. Which is a hurdle in
implementing the solution in the workplaces. People would have to be educated about the fact
that AI Artificial Intelligence is not here to take over. It is created by human beings for their own
ease; they just must stay up to date with technology and learn how to use it efficiently. And after
the acknowledgement, they must be taught how to effectively use it in their work to make their
job a lot easier. The interviewee also explicitly suggested that in future, we could add features
like reports writing and language translation.

Introduction
Writing content, yourself, choosing the right tone for the written body and having it
exactly the length you want it to be, can be a very hectic and lengthy process. After having the
content written well, the next step is to have efficient presentation slides made for it which
convey the right message. We analyzed that professionals struggle in this phase, for example if
they have a content generating tool, it does not set the tone or set the length and vice versa.
And if they have a tool to make presentations for them, it does not generate content. Our
proposal was to make a product that embeds all the tools together and have a single product
doing everything for us. From writing content to making slides out of it with additional features
such as suggesting tones, length and slides adjustments based on the context of the written
body. And it would also be able to write an executive summary or abstract out of a written body
you provide without missing any key features.
Methodology

Data Collection and Interview


The data collection process involved qualitative interviews conducted with professional
in the field of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Participant selection focused on
identifying individuals with significant experience in IT and AI, ensuring their insights were
relevant to the research objectives. The chosen participant was selected based on their
expertise in Machine Learning and willingness to share perspectives on the impact of Artificial
Intelligence in writings and presentation generation.

The interview was conducted online through Google Meet, providing a flexible and
accessible platform for interactions. Open Broadcast Software was utilized to record the
interview session, ensuring the accurate documentation of responses. This approach allowed
for a comprehensive understanding of participant thoughts, experiences, and attitudes towards
AI in technical business writing.

The interview followed a structured format, guided by carefully crafted questions


designed to cover a range of topics. These questions aimed to explore the participants'
experiences with AI-powered tools, challenges related to AI adoption, and their perspectives on
the future implications of such technology in their industry. The interview process facilitated in-
depth discussions, providing rich qualitative data for analysis. Few of the interview questions are
as follows:

1. How has the adoption of Artificial Intelligence influenced the way technical
business documents, such as reports and manuals, are created, maintained,
and communicated within organizations?

2. Can you share examples of how AI-powered tools and software have
improved the quality and efficiency of technical business writing, particularly.
in industries like engineering or software development?

3. How do AI-driven solutions assist in the automation of technical


documentation processes, including the generation of technical reports, user manuals, and
product documentation, and what benefits have organizations
realized from these advancements?

4. What are some emerging trends in AI-driven technical business writing,


and how can organizations stay ahead by incorporating these trends into them
documentation processes?

5. Can you provide an overview of the key applications of Artificial


Intelligence in various industries today and how they have transformed.
traditional processes?

6. In your experience, how can AI-powered grammar and style checkers


enhance the quality and consistency of technical business writing, and what
are the considerations when integrating these tools into the writing process?

7. What potential challenges or risks are associated with the widespread


adoption of AI in technical communication and business?

8. What emerging AI technologies do you believe will have the most significant
impact on technical communication and business in the coming years?

9. What considerations should organizations keep in mind when using AI-


driven chatbots or virtual assistants to provide technical support and
assistance to customers or employees through written documentation?

10. What are the key skills and competencies that technical writers should
develop to effectively work alongside AI technologies in the creation and
maintenance of technical business documents?

Thematic Analysis
Thematic analysis was chosen as the primary method for analyzing the collected data.
The combination of qualitative interviews and thematic analysis aimed to capture nuanced
responses, providing a deeper understanding of professionals' attitudes towards AI in technical
business writing. This methodology allowed for the exploration of diverse viewpoints and the
identification of common trends within the data.

Findings
1. Positive Inclination Towards AI Adoption:
Professionals expressed a positive inclination towards AI solutions, acknowledging their
potential to streamline content generation and presentation slide creation processes.

2. Awareness and Education Gap:


The research uncovered a significant gap in awareness and education regarding AI in
Pakistan. Many professionals were unaware of AI's capabilities and harbored concerns
about job displacement, highlighting the need for educational initiatives.

3. Desire for Comprehensive AI Tools:


The interviewee expressed a desire for a unified AI tool that combines content
generation, tone adjustment, and presentation slide creation. This highlighted the
demand for a holistic solution that addresses multiple aspects of technical business
writing.

4. Future Implications:
The interviewee suggested including features like report writing and language translation
in the future resonated with the professionals, indicating a potential expansion of AI
tools' functionalities in technical communication.

The graph shown above also helps us identify how the use of Artificial Intelligence has
drastically increased from year 2010 to year 2022 and as this rise the number of people using
such Artificially intelligent tools to get help with their writing has also increased.

Now analyzing this graph that shows that usage of ChatGPT for very recent time period year
2022 to year 2023 tells us that the audience for such platform that provides every aspect to
technical and business writing integrated into a single platform is readily available which makes
us positive about the market sustainability. Further, taking into account feasibility of such
platform is high as not only users from ChatGPT will be using but also people who use
Grammarly and other Artificial Intelligence tools to create presentations.

Discussion

The research findings provide insights into the present state of technical business
writing, particularly regarding content production and the creation of presentation slides aided by
Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The favorable attitude towards AI adoption among Information
Technology professionals is an encouraging indicator of the potential for incorporating advanced
technologies in the workplace. The acknowledgement of AI’s ability to simplify content creation
procedures and boost efficiency highlights the significant benefits these tools can offer to the
industry.

Nonetheless, the study also highlighted a considerable lack of knowledge and education about
AI in Pakistan. Several professionals voiced fears about job losses and showed a
misunderstanding of the real intent of AI – a tool designed by humans for their convenience.
This underscores the necessity for extensive educational programs to clear up
misunderstandings, raise awareness, and cultivate a more knowledgeable and open-minded
view of AI technologies.

The professionals’ need for a comprehensive AI tool that includes content creation, tone
modification, and presentation slide development underscores a key aspect of their
requirements. A comprehensive solution that tackles the diverse challenges of technical
business writing aligns with the industry’s needs. This highlights the significance of creating AI
tools that are not only proficient in specific tasks but also offer a cohesive approach to cater to
the varied needs of professionals involved in technical communication.

The interviewee’s suggestion to incorporate additional functionalities such as report writing and
language translation in the future further accentuates the adaptive nature of AI tools in meeting
industry demands. This forward-thinking viewpoint is in sync with the ever-changing landscape
of technology and the ongoing progress in AI capabilities. It paves the way for the creation of
more advanced and flexible AI tools that can handle a wider array of tasks in the field of
technical communication.

Conclusion

To sum up, the study highlights both the challenges and opportunities that come with
incorporating AI into technical business writing. IT professionals demonstrate a positive attitude
towards adopting AI, acknowledging its potential to boost efficiency and simplify intricate
processes. However, the lack of awareness and education about AI in Pakistan presents
significant obstacles to its broad acceptance and application.
The research emphasizes the need for educational efforts to close this gap and cultivate a more
informed understanding of AI technologies. As professionals gain a better grasp of the
advantages and limitations of AI, they are more likely to view these tools as aids rather than
threats to their roles.

Moreover, the call for an all-encompassing AI tool that caters to diverse aspects of technical
business writing underscores the industry’s requirement for unified solutions. The proposal to
incorporate future enhancements, such as report writing and language translation, signifies an
increasing demand for AI tools that can adapt and cater to the growing needs of professionals.

In summary, despite the challenges linked with AI adoption, the research indicates that with
focused education and the creation of more adaptable AI tools, the incorporation of these
technologies in technical business writing has immense potential to transform the industry,
streamline processes, and enable professionals to thrive in their roles.
