Chennai? Mumbai is located on the Konkan Coast. It gets heavy rainfall by the monsoon winds blowing through the Arabian sea in the month of June ,that is in the rainy season .But Chennai is situated on the eastern coast .It gets rainfall in winter months ,when the monsoon winds come back .Thus ,Mumbai gets rainfall in rainy season and Chennai gets rainfall in winter season .
