SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY LIBRARY IN VILLAGE

JAHANPUR SHARIF, SINDH

Respected Chief Secretary,

I trust this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you as a representative of the
community in Village Jahanpur Sharif, a village nestled in the heart of District Ghotki, Provice Sindh.
While we appreciate the strides made in various aspects of development, we find it essential to draw
your attention to the pressing need for a community library in our village.

Village Jahanpur Sharif, with its approximately 600 households and a population of around 5 thousand
residents, serves as a central hub surrounded by 20 other villages. However, despite our rich cultural
heritage and vibrant community spirit, we are currently lacking a dedicated space for learning and
intellectual growth.

We earnestly request the establishment of a community library for the following compelling reasons:

 Educational Empowerment: Our village, like many others, faces challenges related to education.
A community library would serve as a valuable resource center, providing students with access
to educational materials, reference books, and study resources to supplement their learning.
 Cultural Enrichment: A library would contribute to the cultural enrichment of our community by
offering a space for literary and cultural events, book clubs, and discussions. This would foster a
love for reading and learning, contributing to the intellectual development of our residents.
 Youth Development: With limited recreational options, the youth in Village Jahanpur Sharif
often find themselves with idle time. A library would offer them a constructive and intellectually
stimulating environment, promoting lifelong learning and personal development.
 Digital Access: In an era dominated by technology, a community library would provide essential
access to computers and the internet, allowing residents to enhance their digital literacy skills
and stay connected with the broader world.
  Community Cohesion: A library would act as a focal point for the community, promoting a sense
of unity and shared intellectual pursuits. It would serve as a meeting place for residents of all
ages, fostering a strong sense of community belonging.

We believe that the establishment of a community library in Village Jahanpur Sharif would not only
address the immediate needs of our residents but also contribute to the long-term development and
enrichment of our community.
