Dear isthatbibek69@gmail.com,
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to explain the crucial
role that libraries play in our community. As we navigate an ever-evolving world,
libraries remain as essential institutions that contribute significantly to education,
knowledge, and community development.
Here are some key reasons why libraries matter:
Libraries serve as gathering places where people from all walks of life
come together. Whether attending workshops, book clubs, or lectures,
individuals can learn, share experiences, and connect. They build a
sense of community, bridging gaps and promoting understanding.
Events like book clubs and story hours encourage socialization and
interaction among library users.Quiet reading spaces and helpful
librarians create an environment friendly to learning and personal
growth.
Libraries allow people to borrow books for free, saving money for
readers. For those without internet access or unable to afford books,
libraries provide a space to access essential information.
In conclusion, libraries are more than collection of books; they are vital pillars of
education, culture, and community. Let’s continue to support and appreciate these
invaluable institutions.
Thank you for your attention, and I encourage you to explore your local library if
you haven’t already.
Warm regards,

~ Diary on behalf of a Nepalese employee working abroad,
starting some reason to work in own country rather than
working abroad .
Diary Entry: A Choice Between Home and Abroad
Date: February 14, 2024
Location: Tokyo, Russia
Dear Diary,
Today, I find myself thinking and wondering the same old question: Why work
in my own country when I could be working abroad? As a Nepalese employee
far from home, the feeling of foreign lands, exotic cultures, and new experiences
has always gestured. Yet, there’s a quiet voice within me; a whisper of nostalgia
that reminds me of the beauty and significance of my homeland.
Here are my reflections on this matter:
1. Roots and Identity:
o Working in Nepal connects me to my roots. The scent of incense in
ancient temples, the vibrant colors of our festivals, and the warmth of
our people they all form the curtains of my identity.
o Abroad, I may blend into the worldly fabric, but my heart seeks for the
familiar rhythms of home.
2. Family Bonds:
o My parents, wrinkled hands and silver hair, reside in our ancestral
village. Their eyes light up when I visit, and their blessings are my
greatest wealth.
o Abroad, I build a career, but I miss the simple joys of sharing a meal
with family, laughing over old stories, and feeling the soil beneath my
feet.
3. Purpose and Impact:
o Nepal faces challenges poverty, education gaps, environmental issues.
As an employee here, I can contribute directly to solutions.
o Abroad, my work may be impactful, but it’s a ripple in a vast ocean.
Back home, I can be a bridge between progress and tradition.
4. Community and Solidarity:

oIn Nepal, we greet strangers with “Namaste.” Our communities rally
during festivals, weddings, and crises. We are bound by threads of
kinship.
o Abroad, I meet diverse souls, but the depth of connection eludes me. I
long for the shared laughter of neighbors and the chai sessions with
friends.
5. Nature’s Embrace:
o Our Himalayas cradle our nation. The snow-capped peaks whisper tales
of spirituality.
o Abroad, skyscrapers touch the heavens, but they lack the soul-touching
magic of our mountains.
6. Legacy and Pride:
o Bhakti Thapa, our national hero, fought for Nepal’s honor. His courage
echoes through time.
o Abroad, I am a guest a wanderer. But in Nepal, I am a custodian of our
legacy.
As I write these words, I realize that the heart’s compass points both ways. Perhaps,
someday, I’ll return to Nepal, carrying the world’s wisdom in my suitcase. Until
then, I’ll honor my duty, wherever it leads.
Yours faithfully,
A Nepalese Soul Abroad 🌏🇳🇵

~ A book review on which you have recently read .
Life of Pi
Yann Martel 2001 326 pages Fiction
After his family’s ship, carrying zoo animals from India, sinks in the Pacific
Ocean, Pi Patel, the son of a zookeeper, finds himself in a lifeboat with a hyena,
an Orangutan, a wounded zebra, and a Bengal Tiger. Once he takes “hands-on”
care of the other passengers, Pi must struggle to keep the tiger at bay while he
desperately tries to find land.
I really enjoyed this book because it was entertaining despite the main character’s
unfortunate circumstances. The story was full of lessons about the ethical matters
surrounding the existence of zoos and the art of survival. It also had more than
enough action to keep my attention span page after page.
If you like unique “page turners” and wild tales, I highly recommend that you
read Life of Pi. You’ll find it hard to put down and probably want to discuss the
symbolic twist that presents itself at the end. I hope you enjoy reading this novel
as much as I did because I rate it nine out of ten.
This review provides insights into Yann Martel’s novel “Life of Pi.” The story
revolves around Pi Patel’s survival journey on a lifeboat with various animals after
a shipwreck. The reviewer praises the book’s entertainment value, ethical themes,
and gripping action. A recommendation is given, along with a rating of nine out of
ten.
