The respondents considered problem 1(Time Management), 4(Lack of self-confidence), and


problem 13 (Acceptance of schoolmates) to be recurring among the problems presented, obtaining
the heighest weighted mean of 4.38, 3.38, and 3.75 respectively, in which students agreed that they
experienced and encountered it “almost always”.
Problem 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 14 considered “Sometimes” by the students, obtaining 3.00,
3.25, 2.75, 2.88, 3.25, 2.88, 2.88, and 2.75 correspondingly.
However, the rest of the problems were considered by the students to be “rarely” and
“never”.

For the second part which “factors that contribute student finacial problems.
Factor/problem 1 (Shortage of financial support from parents/relatives/sponsors) obtain the
highest weighted mean of 3.25 which considered “agree” by the 3 rd year students. Factors 8 (Bad
spending habits) and 9 (Succumbing to friend/pressure) tied at second to the highest both got 2.75
weighted mean and considered to be nuetral. Factors 2 (Lack of basic financial awareness) and 3
(Not utilizing all financial aid resources) also both considered to be nuetral by the respondents
which got the same 2.63 weighted mean.
However, “Too much dept” is the least factor that contributes financial problem to the
respondents which only got 1.63 weighted mean.
Therefore, the data presented should be evaluated and determine what intervention should
be made to help the students (BSIT 3rd year) address their financial factors and problems.
