7. While touring different parts of the Buvuma district, you have realized noticed bare
lands, over eroded areas and scenes of people cutting down trees for domestic use.

Using the information learned on soil erosion and soil conservation, write a speech on the
causes, effects and methods of conserving soil. (15 marks).

8. Mal nutrition is a serious condition that occurs when a person’s diet does not contain the
right amount of nutrients. Malnutrition is commonly seen in young children .It is
characterized by emaciation and general body weakness. Using your knowledge on
nutrient type and nutrient compounds, write a speech on the necessary food nutrients,
their sources and importance to humans. Also discuss the causes and effects of nutrient
deficiency I humans including disease related to malnutrition.(15marks)
