You are on page 1of 3

You were on your way home, when you died.

It was a car accident.

Nothing in particularly remarkable. But fatal nonetheless. It was a painless death.
The medic tried their best to save you but to no avail. Your body was so utterly
shattered, you were better off. Trust me.

And that's when you met me.

You - What happened? Where am I?

"You died" I said, matter of factly. No point in mincing words.

You - "There was there was a truck. And it was skidding."

Me - Yes
You - I... I died?
Me Yes. But dont feel sad about it. Everyone dies.

You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me.

You What is this place? Is this, the afterlife?

Me More or less.
You Are you God?
Me Yes, Im a God.
You My kids My Wife
Me What about them.
You Will they be alright?

Thats what I like to see, I said.

Me You just died and your main concern is your family. Thats good stuff right
there.

You looked at me with fascination. To you I didnt look like God. I just looked
like some man, or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure maybe.
Dont worry I said.
Theyll be fine. You kids will remember you as perfect in every way. They didnt
have the time to grow contemptuous of you. Your wife will cry on the outside. But
will be secretly relieved. To be fair, your marriage was falling apart. If its any
consolation, shell feel very guilty for felling relieved.

You - Oh So what happens now? Do I go to heaven or hell or something?

Me - Neither. Youll be reincarnated.
You Ah So Hindus were right!
Me All religions are right in their own way. Walk with me.

You followed along as we strolled through the void.

You Where are we going?

Me Nowhere in particular. Its just nice to walk while we talk.
You So whats the point then? When I get reborn, Ill just be a blank slate
right? A baby? So, all my experience and everything everything I did in this life
wont matter.
Me Not so You have within you, all the experiences of your past lives. You just
dont remember them right now.

I stopped walking and touched you by the shoulders.

Me Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful and gigantic than you can possibly
imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. Its like
sticking your finger in a glass of water. To see if its hot or cold. You put a
tiny part of you in the vessel, and when you bring it back out, youve gained all
the experiences it had. Youve been in a human for last 48 years. So you havent
stretched out yet and felt the rest of your immense consciousness. If we hang out
here for long enough, youd start remembering everything. But theres no point to
doing that between each life.
You How many times have I been reincarnated then?
Me Oh lots! Lots and lots! And into lots of different lives. This time around,
youll be a Chinese peasant girl in 540 AD.
You Wait What? Youre sending me back in time?
Me Well I guess technically. Time is as you know it, only exists in your
universe. Thing are different where I came from.
You Where Where you come from?
Me Oh sure, I come from somewhere. Somewhere else. And there are others like me.
I know youll want to know what its like there but honestly you wont understand.

Oh You said a little let down.

You But wait If I get reincarnated to other places in time, I could have
interacted with myself at some point.
Me Sure, happens all the time. And with both lives only aware of their own
lifespans. You dont even know its happening.
You So Whats the point of it all?

I looked you in the eye.

Me The meaning of life. The reason I made this whole universe if for you to
mature.
You You mean mankind. You want us to mature.
Me No Just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each life you grow and
mature and become a larger and greater intellect.
You Just me? What about everyone else?
Me There is no one else. In this universe theres just you and me.

You stared blankly at me.

You But all the people on earth.

Me All you. Different incarnations of you.
You Wait Im everyone.
Me Now youre getting it.
You Im every human being who ever lived or who will ever live.
Me Yes
You Im Abraham Lincoln? And John Wilkes Booth too?

Im Hitler!!! you said appalled.

Me And the millions he killed.

You Im Jesus.
Me And youre everyone who followed him.

You fell silent.

Everytime you victimize someone, youre victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness
youve done, youve done to yourself. Every happy and sad moment ever experienced
by any human was or will be experienced by YOU.

You thought for long time.

You Why? Why do all this?

Me Because someday you will become like me because thats what you are! Youre
one of my kinds. Youre my child!

Wow!!! you said incredulous

You You mean Im a God?

Me No, not yet, youre a fetus. Youre still growing. Once youve lived every
human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born.
You So the whole universe its just an egg.

I answered, Now its time for you to move on to your next life and I sent you on
your way.
