Innovation Bridge- Ayek Apparel Ltd

Ayek Apparel Ltd. Has been trading since 2015 and has steadily grown from a micro-
business with a single owner/employee to an SME with 3 full-time employees and
annual profits of approx. £200K in 2021.

The company specialises in producing customised clothing, mostly for women, with a
focus on local and national sub-trends in the Western-Asian fusion category. The
company has made heavy use of social-media marketing and developed both a strong
social-media presence and a small but loyal customer base. The vast majority of sales
come from the London and South-East of England region.

The company maintains a website for marketing and information purposes but does
not operate its own storefront and instead relies upon Amazon and EBay storefronts
for e-commerce transaction processing.

The company has been alarmed at recent developments, particularly with payment
changes to the Amazon platform which could heavily impact cash-flow, and wish to
investigate a possible change of operation. They wish to reduce their reliance on the
Amazon and EBay storefronts while maintaining their customer base.

You are required to produce a report which includes market/industry analysis using
relevant business models/tools/frameworks in order to recommend a course of action
that addresses the concerns of the company with regards to their reliance on Amazon
and EBay storefronts.
