ALL: The story of Asuang Steals Fire from Gugurang

All: Long ago, when the world was still young, the good and evil were still friends some even said that
they were brothers, both live separately in mountains. Gugurang, the good god lives inside Mt. Mayon
and Asuang, the bad god who lives inside Mt. Malinao. Both has the power to control the people. But
Gugurang has greater power to control the people.

Gugurang: NEVER DISOBEY MY ORDER OR I WILL MAKE THE PIT OF MT. MAYON RUMBLE TERRIBLY!!!

All: */screams and panics.

All: Asuang became envious of Gugurang he also wanted to get greater powers so he could control his
people so, he asked Gugurang to give him some fire. But he refused.

Gugurang: If you get your hands on this fire the whole world will be in danger!

Asuang: But I can handle it, trust me.

Gugurang: You?! You, lazy god, taking charge of this power bestowed onto me by me? by the heavens?!
Look at your ragged mountain compared to mine. How can you even handle this devine power if you
can’t even fix your own mountain?!

All: Asuang pled with him for a long time, yet Gugurang did not even bat an eyelid.

Asuang: Please oh! please gugurang let me, borrow~ the (fire). I am more than capable in using it.

All: Asuang bribes gugurang for the fire. But gugurang only grew redder as he had enough of his
pleading.

Asuang: you want to be omnipotent, but truthfully, we are the same so why must I live in mt. malinao

All: Gugurang was terrified, so he assigned his trusted helpers to guard the symbol of his power. But
despite of all the precaution taken, Asuang was still able to obtain Gugurang’s fire and placed it inside a
coconut shell after bribing the guards with gold.

Precious: Gugurang suddenly noticed that everything around him turned black. The whole world was on
fire!!

Gugurang: Asuanggg!!! How dare you steal my fire!

All: Both raced for supremacy, it seemed like Asuang would be able to get there, but just in time
Gugurang caught up to him snatched the fire and vanished with it.

Gugurang: Aha! Got you!

All: Gugurang placed the fire back to its place and everything was back to normal. But before doing
anything he asked the heavens to rain continuously in order to stop the conflagration.

Gugurang: Oh, heavenly father, please make it rain continuously down here on earth!

All: The conflagration became under control.

Jessa: The people once again offered a sacrifice because they were convinced that the fire was caused
by Gugurang because of their wickedness.
