The term "online betting" refers to betting done through the Internet. This includes the
online versions of poker, sports betting, and casino games. Due to its convenience and
accessibility to anyone with an internet connection, online betting has grown in popularity
in recent years. Online betting diversions are created by a multitude of program providers,
indicating an abundance of games to choose from. As we see right now, Indonesia is a
developing country with a sizable population that is defenseless against online gambling.

The purpose of this extension is to provide a general overview of players' socioeconomic

backgrounds and to showcase intriguing findings relevant to online gambling. This article
uses the data from the Google form we created and shared on social media to analyze
people who have gotten in touch with us and to educate those who view our post about the
dangers of online betting to national integration.

Keywords: Online gambling, betting, national integration

1 Introduction

The increasing number of legitimate online betting sites available on the Internet indicates
that online betting is becoming more and more popular in Indonesia. The growth of social
systems and online betting platforms in many countries, including Indonesia, has supported the
expansion of online betting. The government of Indonesia attempted to shut down the online
betting websites that had started to appear in 2018, but it had little effect because the websites
would simply reappear. Based on data compiled by the Indonesian government, approximately
2,7 million Indonesians have involved in online gambling. Furthermore, the majority, 2,190,447
people (2. 1 million people) engage in gambling activities with insignificant amounts of money
(less than IDR 100,000), suggesting that they may be a low-income group. featuring the profiles
of laborers, ranchers, stay-at-home parents, private sector workers, understudies, college
understudies, and others.
As a result, we are attempting to help Indonesian individuals by teaching them
approximately the concealed effect of online betting on our national integration. With the
unmistakable accessibility of web get to in Indonesia, we are utilizing social media stages to
spread mindfulness of online betting. To spread that mindfulness, we planned a curiously blurb
to be shared on social media to teach Indonesian individuals almost the enslavement to online
betting. We utilize Google Shapes to associate with the gathering of people who has seen our
post on Instagram. By connection on Google Shapes, we were able to gather data about what
individuals considered online betting and our posts.
Taking into thought that betting presented negative conduct designs. We inspected the in
general design of online betting conduct to decide the negative affect on Indonesia's national
integration. this online betting enslavement in Indonesia impacts 2 sides, and those are the
government and the citizens. Based on the Service of Data and Communication, the government
recorded state misfortunes of around 100 trillion rupiah per year due to online betting. Besides,
the citizens are much at a misfortune, if they are as of now impacted by online betting
enslavement, they are suspected to have broken down budgetary circumstances, mental
wellbeing issues, and battling with the sweet compulsion that online betting gives.
Subsequently, it is pivotal to address the negative effect of betting and give back to those who
may be influenced by it.

2 Discussion

There are two methods for education in this project that we use: Poster Creation and
Data Collection through Google Forms
2.1 Poster

We used social media, which is an effective medium for disseminating information and
enlightening the public, to promote awareness of online gambling addiction and our poster.
Given that today's young adults have shorter attention spans, the poster format was selected
because it is easily assimilated. In order to reach a large audience, we concentrated on using
Instagram and TikTok, the most popular social media platforms in Indonesia. Our primary goal
was to demonstrate the detrimental effects of internet gambling using pertinent data and
statistics.

Fig 1. Poster on Instagram About Unseen Impact of Online Gambling

See Figure 1. This poster emphasizes the negative impacts of online gambling's
widespread normalization in Indonesia. Online gambling is becoming more and more popular
among Indonesians as a result of social media advertisements. This normalization, meanwhile,
is predicated on the incorrect and untrue assumption that gambling has an impact solely on the
individual gambler. Indirect effects on ties to friends, family, and the social circle may also arise
from gambling. Moreover, the economy of the country suffers from widespread gambling.

2.2 Google Forms

We included a QR code on our poster and used a Google Form to gather information
for this technique. We received 31 responses from the form, all of them were random. The
reason we selected this particular medium was because it offered respondents the choice to
remain anonymous. 24 male respondents (77-point 4 percent) and 7 female respondents (22
point 6 percent) made up the 31 respondents who completed our Google Form. The age range
of many responders was 18–34, with the remaining respondents being younger than 17. With
regard to education, the majority of responders were in college, with very few enrolled in senior
high school or other non-formal programs.
Of the thirty-one respondents who filled out our Google Form, thirty are aware of
online gambling, and one does not. The respondents—31 people in total—are aware of the
dangers connected to playing online poker. But two respondents are still not persuaded about
the risks associated with online gambling, and one respondent is still ignorant of them.
Looking at our data, 23 people, or 74.2% of the 31 respondents, seem to have never
gambled online, while 8 respondents have already done so. Eight participants, out of the total,
have tried their hand at online gambling, according to the data. For these people, their main
motivation for playing online poker was either a need for extra money or a desire to supplement
their income. The remaining participants gave their reasons for trying online gambling as
entertainment and their social circle. Furthermore, the data shows that the majority of the eight
people who have tried online gambling have used slots and online sports betting as their
preferred games.
Since they put enjoyment before profit, most online gamblers express satisfaction, a
wish to keep playing, and a casual attitude toward monetary losses. On the other hand, a tiny
portion of users express annoyance but are nonetheless open to returning. Lastly, a small
percentage of respondents either never have or never use online gambling. Notably, the majority
of individuals who gamble online have expended thousands of rupiah to more than Rp500,000.
Even more, a small percentage of people are willing to invest more than one million rupiah in
internet gambling.
Our data clearly shows the participants' ideas about how to lessen gambling's
detrimental effects on the environment. The two main recommendations made by the majority
of respondents were to encourage better, more positive environments and to educate people
about the dangers of online gambling. Nearly 90% of respondents, as shown in the second graph,
agreed that internet gambling has a negative impact on the nation and can even cause it to
completely fall apart.

3 Conlusion
In Indonesia, online gambling is becoming more and more popular. This study aims to
provide insight into the socioeconomics, risks, and impact of this activity on national
integration. Government efforts to fragment websites haven't stopped it from developing,
though, because social networks and online gambling platforms are so commonplace.
Approximately 2,7 million Indonesians participate in online betting, with a greater proportion
showing interest with small sums of money, indicating a predominance among lower-class
groups. This encompasses a diverse range of individuals, including scholars, professionals,
farmers, and parents.
Both the government and the general public are affected by this increase in online
betting. The state suffers significant annual losses from online gambling activities, estimated to
be worth approximately 100 trillion rupiah. Meanwhile, residents affected by the compulsive
online betting behavior may face financial difficulties, mental health issues, and resistance to
the addictive nature of the activity.
To handle this issue, this extend utilizes a two-pronged approach. The writing of an
informative summary and gathering data using a Google Form. The blurb is purposefully shared
on popular social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, emphasizing the younger
demographic and highlighting the accurate information and unfavorable outcomes associated
with online betting in Indonesia. The accompanying Google Form invites enigmatic responses,
eliciting feedback from 31 participants—most of whom are male, mature between the ages of
18 and 34, and a significant portion of whom are college students.
All things considered, this inquiry highlights the widespread impact of internet
gambling in Indonesia, particularly among lower-class groups, and highlights the urgent need
to address its detrimental effects on the populace and government. Combining the blurb
campaign with the Google Form information collection tool provides a thorough methodology
to increase awareness and gather significant experiences regarding this pressing issue,
ultimately supporting Indonesia's national integration.
