Upholding values is only way to success
The document discusses how Pakistan is facing economic and social challenges due to a lack of emphasis on modern education, science and technology as well as degradation of values. Rampant corruption, widespread dishonesty, nepotism and intolerance have led the country into a downward spiral. Imagine if there was no corruption - billions could be invested in education and infrastructure, leading to economic boom and reduced poverty. Nepotism also contributes by neglecting skilled youth, who then leave for other countries. Intolerance curbs new ideas as groups refuse to accept different perspectives. Upholding values like integrity, meritocracy and inclusion is essential for a progressive society.

Pakistan is passing through a difficult time, as our country is
witnessing a dwindling economy, fragile system, lack of facilities with no necessities and failure in education; one may think what are real causes behind this whole mess. Lack of emphasis on modern education, particularly on science and technology " are often cited as the drivers behind our downfall. However, for some, the root cause behind our decline is the degradation of values.
These neglected values including rampant corruption, widespread
dishonesty, sweeping nepotism, and prevalent intolerance that have relapsed our country into the never-ceasing abyss.
Just imagine a corruption-free Pakistan, where billions of rupees come
back in treasury which often appear to be going into pockets of unseen forces. With full treasury, there will be no worry of IMF, and so the foreign intervention; we could freely invest heaps of money into our education and infrastructure sectors. As a result of this, education will blossom, the economy will see its new boom and poverty from our country will take its last breaths.
Prevalent Nepotism is another cause that often contributes to our
downfall. Due to nepotism, oftentimes our skilled and talented young people are neglected and ignored by the authorities. As a consequence, those deserving people are forced to fly overseas, where those countries utilize their expertise for their benefits. Such practice deprives our country's education and other sectors from skilled and talented students. Hence, progress in our country remains a stalemate.
Finally, intolerance in our society has reached to a degree, where,
little disagreements in the perspectives often end up in squabbles and quarrels. Rising intolerance curbs creative and valuable ideas to unearth, as various groups within society remain adamant to tolerate others' perspectives. Triumphal society comes into existence when diverse notions are encouraged and compared. As Aristotle states " to draw a meaningful conclusion, at least two premises are necessary". Henceforth, it is imperative to build a tolerant and inclusive Pakistani society, where everyone is embraced irrespective of their caste, creed, and sect.
In nutshell, no society could progress even if it has booming science
and technology until it upholds the aforementioned values and principles. Thus, it essential for both civil society and concerned authorities to encourage those values and principles, so a progressive and welfare society could be established.
