Narrator : " Mr. Schmidt leaves the room angrily"
Mr. Schmidt isn't satisfied nor happy with this decision but he couldn't do more about it.
Principal :
Dear Martha, I need to inform you that the board changed the policy. We won't give the scholarship
jacket for free anymore. It will cost 15$, so if you can't afford it, it will go for the next one in line.
Narrator:" Martha leaves with a broken heart and sadness expressions on her face"
Scene 2:
She reaches home and finds her grandma knitting. She asks her.
Martha: Grandpa, I need to ask you for a favor please. You know the scholarship jacket, the school
changed the policy and I have to pay 15 $ for it now.
Martha: if you score a straight A in all your subjects then you deserve it.
Narrator:
Martha arrives to her school and goes immediately to the principal office.
Principal : Hello Martha, so did you grandpa give you the money?
Martha: no, he didn't. I guess you can give the jacket to Joanne.
Martha : he said if it was gained by hardworking then we shouldn't pay for it.
Principal : Well, he's right. Damn it! I'll talk to the board.
People should get what they deserve no matter what their race, class or religion is.
