Objective:
Materials:
Begin with a fun icebreaker to create a positive atmosphere. Each student shares two true
statements and one false statement about themselves. The class guesses which statement is
the lie.
Provide a list of daily routine activities. (Wake up, Brush teeth, have breakfast, wake up, go to
school/work, eat lunch, take a break, exercise, clean, cook and wash dishes)
Students pair up and take turns discussing their daily routines, using the provided vocabulary.
Encourage the use of time expressions (e.g., in the morning, after school).
Divide the class into small groups and assign each group a scenario at a restaurant.
Students take on different roles (customer, waiter/waitress) and engage in a role-play
conversation. Emphasize politeness and using appropriate phrases
Group Discussion: Hobbies and Interests (15 minutes)
Ask each student to share their hobbies and interests with the class briefly.
Break the class into small groups to discuss common interests.
Encourage the use of expressions like "I enjoy," "I'm interested in," and "I prefer."
"I enjoy"
Explanation: This phrase is used when you like doing something or when something makes you happy.
Example: "I enjoy reading books in my free time."
Explanation: This phrase is used to talk about things that catch your attention or that you find
fascinating.
Example: "I'm interested in learning about different cultures."
"I prefer"
Explanation: This phrase is used when you have a choice between two or more things, and you like one
of them more than the others.
Example: "I prefer watching movies at home rather than going to the cinema."
Start with a common word related to daily life. (Sunny, cold, friends, computer, phone, job, family, food,
education, happiness)
Have students take turns saying a word associated with the previous one.
Encourage them to explain their choices to the class.
Closing Activity (20 minutes):
Have a brief class discussion on what went well and what could be improved.
Provide positive feedback and highlight areas for improvement.
Homework Assignment:
Ask students to write a short paragraph about their favorite part of the class or something new they
learned during the lesson.
