RECRUITMENT NOTICE

RECRUITMENT OF WARDER (MALE) IN HOME (JAIL) DEPARTMENT.

As per the provisions of the Recruitment Rules notified vide Home (Jail) Department,
Government of Tripura, Notification No. 11-522/IGP/2019/8079-87 dated ·25-11-2022 and other
guidelines/notifications issued by the Government of Tripura from time to time, recruitment will be
conducted for filling up of the following vacant posts of Warder (Male) in Home (Jail) Department.

 AGE RELAXATION AS PER GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATIONS
Ex-serviceman personnel : Ex-service personnel who has put in not less than 3
years service in the formation shall be allowed to deduct the period of service from
his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit by
more than 3 years(as on 1st July, 2022), he will be deemed to satisfy the condition
regarding age limit.)
(II) For Home Guards/Civil Defence: Home Guards/Civil Defence personal will be
considered for selection provided:
(a) They are not more than 26 years age on the date they were enrolled as Home
Guards or Civil Defence personal and not more than 37 years of age as on 01-
01-2022.
(b) Should have minimum 4 years of experience as Home Guards/Civil Defence
personal.
(III) 2 (two) years age relaxation in upper age limit for all categories of Candidates :
Due to COVID pandemic, direct recruitment in Government departments & PSU
were affected. 02 years age relaxation in upper age limit for all categories of
Candidates as notified by the Govt. of Tripura, GA (P&T) Department Memorandum
No. F.23 (11)-GA (P&T)/2022 dated 11-07-0-2022.
Candidates of all categories will submit application in the prescribed format
as given at Annexure-"B". either printed, typed or neatly hand written on full scale
plain paper (A4 size) along with attested copies of the following documents to the
under notified venues w.e.f 4th December, 2022 to lOth December, 2022 up to 05.30

(/ f. No Objection certificate duly issued by the employer, in case the candidate is

Attach Discharge Certificate issued by the Defence Authority for availing age
relaxation by the candidates belonging to Ex-servicemen.
Note : (i) Application, if received without the prescribed documents shall be
rejected.
(ii) No TA/DA will be admissible for to & fro journey 'for recruitment
venue.

Syllabus for warder

(i) Department related topics (prison, prisoner, public

administration , human rights, gender, law,

discipline, constitution, police, health, nutrition,

psychology, vocational course, Information technology &
Computer).

(ii) General knowledge relating to Tripura and India 15 marks

including Geography and Culture '

(iii) Current affairs 20 marks

(iv) English language ( class VIII standard). 20 marks

Total: 85 marks

(vt Viva Voce:- Topics in the written. test, ethics, smartness, 15 marks
knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok (any one as per choice)

Grand Total: 100 marks

2 Physical fitness and physical test

(i)Minimum Height: For Scheduled Tribe- 165 em

For others 167.64 em

(ii) Chest minimum: 78.74 em (Unexpanded) and 83.82 em (expanded)
for whose height is 167.64 em or more and 76.2 em (Unexpended) and
81. 28 cm(Expended) whose height is less than 167.64 em.

(iii) High jump= 4 feet (In maximum two attempt)

3 Note:

(i) Only those who qualify in height and chest measurement shall
participate high jump test

(ii) Only those who qualify in high jump will be allowed for

(iii) Those qualifying in the written examination by obtaining cut-off

marks will be interviewed by an interview board.

(iv) Appointment will be made on the basis of merit list to be

determined on the basis of aggregate scored in written examination

and viva voce test of these obtaining cut-off marks in the written
examina tion. There may be different cut-off marks for SC and ST .etc
