<Procedure for the version-up of SSD firmware.

>

1. Insert USB memory into the FW download port.

2. Turn on the main switch.

It takes about 160 sec. until start screen will appear.

3. Start screen will appear and Ready to start the version-up for SSD firmware.

Current Version:Ver6.02n and the new
New Version :Ver6.03m version in the
screen..

Press [START] to begin the SSD Firmware update.

4. Press <START> key in the screen.

* Start the SSD firmware update.

5. Move over the indication to <Downloading>.

Please do not turn off the main SW and Sub-Power!!

DO NOT TURN OFF

the MFP while Downloading.

During update, <START> key with orange-colored blink.

It takes about 180 sec. to appear until comlete downloading.

6. Complete screen will be displayed

Please turn off the main SW.

When the update is done, <START> key with blue-colored light.

7. After verify the indication <Download OK>, turn off the main switch to finish update.

<Trouble shooting when the update failed.>

1. Download NG

SSD Firmware update 1. Attempt SSD FW download once again

2. Reseat SSD board if failed again.
3.Replace SSD if failed again. SSD board may possiblly
Phisycally damaged.
Download NG.

Please turn off the main SW.

2. Detect the number of BAD Block exceed limit

SSD Firmware update 1. SSD works for now but may possiblly need to be
replaced some time in the life time.
2. Replace SSD on next visit
Download OK.
But this SSD is time to exchange,
so please replace to new SSD.

3. The program is not the right one for the model

SSD Firmware update
1. Download the right FW in the USB memory,
and re-try the reset procedure
2. Change USB memory to use if failed again.
Error USB memory may possiblly phisycally damaged.
This is invalid External Memory.
* This message will be displayed when inserting
Please turn off the main SW. USB for Bk product into color products, and vice-versa.
Same message will be displayed when inserting the other
product such as C754/C754e/C554 sereis.

4. SSD FW has been already updated.
