Three days hiking of Cyinzobe Trail in Nyungwe National Park

The Cyinzobe Trail, is a walking trail, which is a multi-day hiking trail on one of the most
breathtaking routes within the Nyungwe National Park. This trail offers a three-day adventure
starting from the Uwinka visitor centre and ending at the Gisakura visitor centre, allowing
visitors to explore the stunning Kamiranzovu swamp and its magnificent waterfall located along
the park's western boundary.

Day One: The first day of the trail begins at the Uwinka visitor centre and follows the western
ridge via the Uwinka trail with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. At the end of the
day, you will reach the first campsite where you will spend the night.

Day Two: On the second day, the trail takes you to the Kamiranzovu wetland. Here, you will
have the opportunity to walk along the edge of the wetland, observing its unique flora and
fauna. The second campsite is located after the wetland along the Kamiranzovu River and
provides a peaceful and serene environment for your overnight stay.

Day Three: The third day is relatively short compared to the previous two days. It involves
walking from the second campsite to the Gisakura visitor centre. This final stretch of the trail
completes a total distance of 23 kilometres of walking.

To ensure visitors have a comfortable and enjoyable experience during their journey, two
exclusive full-board campsites with wooden cabins are available along the Cyinzobe trail. These
