TITLE:
Application of Bar Graph.
STATEMENT OF THE RESULT:
To compare the marks obtained in all subjects by a student in the first and second term
tests by drawing a bar graph using paper cutting and pasting.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:


Making of a bar graph.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
1. A white sheet of paper.
2. Coloured glazed papers.
3. Geometry box.
4. A pair of scissors/cutter.
5. Adhesive /Glue.

PROCEDURE:
(i) Let the marks obtained in all subjects by a student in the first and second term
tests be

Term - 2 42 35 50 45 37

(ii) On a white paper draw a horizontal line and a vertical line.


(iii) Along the horizontal line, write the subjects at equal distances.
(iv) Along the vertical line write, write numbers from 0 to 50 at equal distances.

(v) Make rectangular bars of lengths 35, 37, 45, 42, 30 units and of equal width from a
yellow coloured glazed paper. These bars represent the marks in the first term.

(vi) Paste these bars in your lab manual book for record.

(vii) Make rectangular bars of lengths 42, 35, 50, 45, 37 units and of same width as earlier
bars from a blue coloured glazed paper of different colour. These bars represent the
marks in the second term.
(viii) Paste these bars in your lab manual book for record.
OBSERVATION:
Variation of marks in the two term tests can easily be compared.

RESULT:
From graph, it is clear that the student has improved in all subjects in second term test
except in Hindi.
