TITLE:
To verify that if two lines intersect at a point, then each pair of vertically opposite angles
are equal.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Basic Geometrical concepts, intersecting lines and vertically opposite angles.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
1. White Paper.
2. Tracing Paper.
3. Geometry Box.
4. Sketch Pens
4. A pair of scissors/cutter.
5. Adhesive /Glue.

PROCEDURE:
(i) Draw two lines AB and CD intersecting each other at a point O. Mark and
as 1 and 2 respectively.
(ii) Angles 1 and 2 are vertically opposite angles. We shall verify that angles 1 and 2 are
equal.
(iii) Make replicas of angles 1 and 2 with equal arm lengths with the help of a tracing paper.
Colour these replicas using sketch pens.
(iv) Place these replicas over each other to coincide.
OBSERVATION:
We observed that the two replicas of angles 1 and 2 cover each other exactly.

RESULT:
The vertically opposite angles 1 and 2 are equal.
