 INTRODUCTION
• Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, also known simply as
Tottenham or Spurs, is an English professional
football club based in the Tottenham district of
London that competes in the Premier League. It was
based at White Hart Lane until the 2016-17 season,
when it was demolished to be completely rebuilt. In
the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, the stadium
where they played at home was Wembley Stadium
and on special occasions they played games there. Its
new stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, was built
on the same spot where White Hart Lane was
demolished and opened on April 3, 2019.
CLUB
FOUNDATION
• The club was founded on September 5,
1882 under the name of Hotspur
Football Club, formed by students
from an Anglican college, its first
president was John Ripsher.

• In April, of 1884 the club was called

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club to
avoid confusion with another
team founded at the same time.
 RIVALRY
• It has a great rivalry with its historic neighbour, Arsenal Football
Club, a club with which it disputes the North London Derby.
The rivalry between the two clubs began in 1913, when
Arsenal moved from the Manor Ground, to Arsenal Stadium,
Highbury, just four miles from Tottenham's White Hart Lane;
thus becoming the closest neighbours being, therefore, a
natural place to create a rivalry.

• Tottenham also has a rivalry with Chelsea but this is weaker than
the one with Arsenal
 CURRENT COACH
• Antonio Conte is a footballer and the current coach of Tottenham, as a
footballer he played as an attacking midfielder, passing through
several teams but triumphing at Juventus.

• As a coach he began his career at Bari where he got promotion to

Serie A, later he became coach of Juventus where he put his 3-5-2
into practice, then he went through the Italian team which
eliminated Spain in the European Championship 2016, later he went
to Chelsea, the following year to Inter Milan where he had a good
season and we are now at the head of Tottenham
