Float_Checking

Following the expertise from the firm REED on the level switch #135015151
(black cable) returned under guaranty, we have seen that 50% of the level
switches are not defect.
In order to reduce the cost of the warranty, it is advised to check if the float is
defect before to exchange it.
Check the float consists in measurement of the electrical resistance.
Disconnect the level switch cable
Identify the both contacts (on the connector) which are going on the level
switch .
Measure the resistance with an Ohmmeter.
Usually we obtain, when the float is in front of the REED contact a
resistance of about 0,5 Ohm. We can have, depending of the cable
length, a resistance bigger, but never it will exceed 3 Ohm.
If we measure a value bigger than 3 Ohm that means that the level switch
is out of order, and must be exchanged.
