X and Y scales disabling / enabling for diagnostic

In case of axes problem on X or Y axis, it could be interesting to work without the scales to determinate if the problem comes
from the scale or any other elements.
This can done simply using 2 dedicated macros of the Macro Executer.

Disabling the scales inhibits the collision detection! So it very important to avoid any collision with X and Y
during the diagnostic.
The machine must not remain configured without scales as this can lead to mechanical damages.

Scales disabling
Set the Diag Center User level to Expert mode
Access the Macro Executer
Select the macro "Disable linear scales" then press "OK"

The macro starts and stop immediately (it's only some parameters to set)

Switch the machine OFF

Remove the Scales interface board from X-Y amplifier
Switch the machine ON
The axes must moves freely positioned only be the help of the motor encoder.
There is no need to perform the homing cycle if the references were ok before the procedure start.

Remember that the anti-collision detection is inhibited!

The axes positions can be checked using the macro Axis status info. To do so:
Access the Macro Executer
Start the macro Axis status info

The axis position of X and Y are visible and ensured by the Encoder (scales values are frozen)

Scales enabling

Once the diagnostic completed, enable the scales back.

Access the Macro Executer

Select the macro "Enable linear scales" then press "OK"

The macro starts and stop immediately (it's only some parameters to set)

Reboot the machine

At the end of the re-power on, the X and Y axes can move only to the + direction. The scales are already enabled and
their feedback can be checked using the macro Axis Status info.
Check that all the doors are closed. Execute a move in MDI to verify
In order to set correctly the coordinates system for X and Y, execute the macro Linear Scale

The macro will run without having the green button of the console lit ON. This could be confusing, so just check the
execution of the macro as following

once the macro starts, a transparent windows "Download" appears

the 3 first lines are displayed in the macro windows
The Z axis goes up (the door must be closed!)
the AXUV axis goes to the extreme left of their course
some lines are added in the macro window
a new "Download" window appear
the 4 top lines of the Macro Executer show:

End thread: macro_linearscale

End Macro: Macro_LinearScale
Execution: Please reboot the machine
Execution: Reference Homing successfully executed

If the axes didn't move at all, the reference won't be correct. Beware, the text "Reference homing successfully
executed" may be displayed nevertheless in the macro window.
Reboot the machine
Check the functioning of the X and Y scales using the macro Axis status info.
