Roles and Responsibilities:
Creation and managing Users, Databases, Roles, Profiles and Accounts & also temporary
tables on user requests
Monitoring view point, aborting the Session causing the blocks, communicating with the
Backup Co-coordinators in case of backup job being aborted.
Communication with the user in case of the Load job/User session being aborted. Getting
GSC involved in the issue, update of the action taken research/resolve the issue.

Monitor Viewpoint for any blockings, long running, high PJI, skewed queries, and
communicate users accordingly.
Check Daily reports as per the week of the day and communicate accordingly.
Releasing HUT locks after weekly archives
Monitoring of all systems for In-efficient queries
Creating Backup and Recovery scripts and running in TARA GUI.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Teradata
Creation and managing Users, Databases, Roles, Profiles and Accounts.
Assigning Permanent Space, Spool Space and Temporary Space. Granting and Revoking
Access Rights on different database objects.
Handling logon and logoff rules for Users. Resource Monitoring Database Query log (DBQL)
and access logging.
Knowledge on Performance tuning and Query Tuning and implemented MVC.
Monitoring and reporting Review system utilization by user. Used Teradata Administrator and
SQL Assistant Tools for monitoring and control the system as well as TARA GUI for backup
and restore activities and MVC analysis.

Project description:
Offshore Teradata DBA operations supported for 24X7 bases and successfully carried out the daily
and all maintenance activities with proper plans. Work covered all aspects of maintenance services:
Preventative maintenance, enhancements, hardware maintenance, out of office hours for production
support, backup scheduling and monitoring, performance enhancement to prevent skewed issues
suggested good PI and resolving stats issue and directly worked with Teradata GSC on Teradata
