During the first day, the program started at 8:30 in the morning and right
after the program, BSP Investiture Ceremony followed. This is to welcome the newly
registered Boy Scouts in the Troop. The ceremonial activity was led by Dr. Marvin
Romias, the School Head and Carlito Mariano Jr, the BSP Coordinator.
After the ceremonial activity, the Scouters were group into 4 patrols namely,
Tamarao, Lion, Goat and Eagle. After, grouping, they were tasked to make their
Patrol Flag and draw the picture of their patrol name. To keep the other Scouters
busy, others were tasked to create their Indigenous costumes during their BSP
Rampa Kalikasan. The goal of this activity is to showcase the artistry of the
Scouters. The materials used in this activity were found inside the Camping area
only.while others were cooking their lunch.
In the Afternoon, Sctr. Ador Eclipse WBH with CML and Sctr. Francis N.
Campo WBH with CML, Resource Speakers, led the group by an interactive
discussions and activities. Sctr. Eclipse, Introduced and taught the young scouters
the Boy Scouts songs. He pointed out the importance of the songs, how to song it
properly and to where and when best to sing to song. He also discussed the values
we can acquire in scouting. Values that they can be used in their daily living and
as they grow. He gave points in the value of family, country and value of our faith
in God. He added that even in the most struggled situations, we have to be
thankful for God, made those struggles for us to learn and go back to Him. On the
other hand, Sctr. Campo, talked about the Smartness and Goodness. He said that
the basic requirement and BSP Camporee is the Neckerchief and carabao slide.
Aside from that he gave points in the importance and uses of the uniforms of BSP.
Together with Sctr. Eclipse, they demonstrated to the group the use of the patrol
flag post, the use of neckerchief and many more. He also added the different
uniforms of Cab Scouts, Boys Scouts, Senior Scouts and difference of the Uniforms
who took higher trainings in Boys Scouts. The resource speakers were applauded
because of their witty discussions and how BSP changed them as individuals. The
seminar ended at 3:55 in the afternoon.
After the orientation and seminars, Mr. Mariano gave the Scouters a water
break and took the opportunity to finalize the last Canvassing of the Mr. BSP 2023.
The Canvassing finished at 4:30.The total amount raised in this activity was
2546.00. The proceeds raised in this activity will be the construction of BSP Park.
Right after the canvassing, Mr Elipse and Mr. Campo facilitated the group by
giving them varied activities that will test their mental and physical activities. The
activities ended up to 5;30 in the afternoon. The young scouters went back in their
camp tents with laughters and excitements.
Evening activities were started at 7:00. Mr. Eclipse and Mr. Campo together
with Mr. Mariano demonstrated to the young scouters the importance of our
Philippine flag. They gave points in the do’s and dont’s of using our flag. After the
demonstration, next activity was the Coronation of Mr. BSP 2023 in the person of
Clayd B. Carungui. After the Coronation, Camp fire was facilitated Mr. Eclipse and
Mr. Campo. The program was attended by the Scouters and teachers and some
stake holders. After the program, the scouters presented their cheers and yells after
the presentation, they received a commendable clap to Mr Eclipse and Mr. Campo
for their active participation.
After the presentation of cheers and yells, the showcase of talents was
facilitated by Mr. Mariano. Each troop presented their talents and was applauded
by everybody.
After a story telling by Mr. Eclipse, the program ended up singing the song
Cum Bye Yah meaning “Come with me Lord.” The program ended at 11:30 in the
evening.
During the second day, it was started by a prayer, followed by a zumba, this
is to energize the spiritual and physical values of the scouters.
The following activity was the Rampa Kalikasan. It was participated by each
troop. It was Clayd Carungui won the competition, a member of Eagle Patrol. The
next activity was community service led by the Troop Leaders. The last activity was
the cooking show and the main menu is chicken. The program in the morning
ended at 12;00 in the afternoon.
Afternoon was the break camp. At 2:00 closing program started. The Lion
Patrol received 12 ribbons, eagle patrol received 9, goat patrol received 7 and
Tamarao Patrol received 6.
The 2-day activities were graced by community services. The students were
required to clean up the school grounds and streets as one of the values inculcated
in scouting. The celebration was highlighted with games where the scouts involved
themselves in many activities. During the campfire, the scouts showcased their
talents and skills in dancing and acting. It was one of the highlight and it was a
lifetime success since the experiences they’ve got in this camporee is very useful in
molding their pillars to become strong and disciplined leaders in the future.
