    Gem Hunter is a documentary hosted by Atom Auralo, taken in Masbate. This is about a man
    who has an amazing talent for making pendants. He is a great designer and continues to fight
    and support his family. The director of this documentary is Atom Araullo, a Filipino journalist
    who became a successful television presenter.

    “Gagawin ko ang lahat para sa pamilya ko” is a biopic that tells of a man named David. David
    is diligent and patient in everything he does to raise his family. He is only a graduate of high
    school,but he is good when it comes to gem stones. David traveled 2 hours from their home
    to the river, including his mother and wife.His work weakened during the year 2019, because
    of the pandemic. He also had problems with his friends, but that did not stop him from
    carving stones.

    David went through a lot of processes in making pendants; even once when he was grinding
    stones, his fingers hurt, but the pains he felt did not stop him from being able to sell
    something and provide for the needs of the family.A lot has changed since before the
    pandemic; David was earning about P8,000 per week, while now it’s only P3,000 per week.

    Even though David has many future challenges in life, he always puts his family first. No
    matter how much he can give to the family, he works hard for everything. The small pendants
    he makes are already helping his family a lot. His crossing the river and the lifting of the heavy
    stones did not doubt his ability to continue.

    Moreover,the theme of this documentary is poverty. The severity of the situation is often
    undermined.Their financial needs became a problem for them.His income does not match the
    needs of his family. He always tries to provide a better life for his family through his
    honorable work.
    The love and compassion touched me, inmates David. This man is a role model for today’s
    society, and he committed terrible things. Therefore,I feel this documentary is perfect for
    all,so that they have motivation and inspiration to continue in life and to show the severity of
    people living in poverty.
