Reel Time’s Salat (Bone Dry) this exposed in GMA documentary shows the current situation and rate of
child malnutrition in the Philippines. It shows various problems that cause poverty.

The first part of the video shows how hard life is for her. Mary Rose doesn't have enough money to buy
groceries, but she goes to school. Her school performance is hampered by problems at home. They don't
have enough money to buy groceries, and they can't even buy the soap they need every day, which is
affecting their health. While she said she wanted to go to her province of Cavite. She says her home and
her surroundings are not safe, even the people around her. She also says that she wants to go to school
every day because she can't learn anything in this house.

They watch movies, sleep as much as they want, and skip meals when their mother has money.
Malnutrition in Tondo, Manila is the focus of this documentary, with families going to a health center for
screening and feeding programs. For me, lack of work and education is one of the main reasons for
poverty and malnutrition. It's for parents and they have to make a family plan before starting a family.
They need a steady job to get the money to buy groceries and pay their utility bills.

Children are suffering, they don't have a clean and safe home or environment, they don't have food or
money to go to school, they contract other infectious diseases, they don't have hygiene, and many other
things are going on with their lives. It affects the future. This documentary inspires me. Because, like
Mary Rose, her simple dream of eating chicken shows how blessed I am. You can eat whatever you want
and get what you need.

I was inspired because, despite her struggles, Mary never stopped pursuing her dream of finishing her
studies and becoming a doctor. Also, this documentary helps me realize how grateful and blessed I am to
have a good life.
