Sa Mata ng Bata

The documentary was all about child labor, from three different stories and
the life of each child. The first documented child had a chaotic life during his younger
days. Her family was exposed to illegal acts, her mother died from this kind of life.
Their family soon moved to a different place to start a new life for her, they wish them
to have a better life which is why she was striving her best to finish her education.
The second child was exposed to mining at a very young age, the team of I-Witness
helped him to have a good future and give him the education he needed. Due to
bullying, he loses his confidence in pursuing education and stops his schooling.
Years later, he was still in the state of poverty as if nothing good happened to him.
Despite the missed opportunity in education, he was still full of hopes to never give
up on the life he has. He invested in a small business and strives hard in mining. The
third child’s job in the documentary is to get hives and sell honey for him and his
sibling’s education fees. The I-Witness team also gave him the scholarship to help
them have a good future. Years later, they graduated and successfully had the future
they want. The I-Witness team was grateful knowing the help they are giving is not a
waste for children like them, who have high hopes and strive their best to stay away
from poverty.

The documentary was developed beautifully, they documented years before

and years after which is not an easy job. They put a lot of hard work and focus into
this documentary that made it award-winning. By the means of production, it was
developed with great knowledge and directed well, that people will be in awe after
watching it and will give good impacts or realizations in their life. The purpose of the
documentary was to enlighten people on how poverty works and affects children from
families who have no choice to work just for them to have a portion of food on the
table, it was meant for addressing the biggest issue in the country which is child labor
and poverty.

This issue in the country should be seriously address and give solutions.
Children are heavily affected by this especially on their education, physical health
and overall safety. It’s so sad to see children who are no choice to work at early age
instead of pursuing education and enjoying the life they have. In my own opinion
childrens should be protected from this, they are innocent and too young to work
tiredlessly just for them to eat. For me, child labor is also equivalent to child abuse.
They were deprived from having freedom and choosing the life they wanted.
Government and each countries should consider on making solutions to this kind of
situations. We should always appreciate the life we have if we our a priviledge
people, think about the children who doesn’t have a choice on working hard for their
family. Appreciate what we have and be grateful, we should use our voice to give
attention to this kind of situation.

Appreciate what we have and be grateful, we should use our voice to give attention
to this kind of situation.
