Acupressure Points!
Kyle Reteff
Following are 10 of the most powerful acupressure points in the body. To be incredibly
effective, be sure you're fully relaxed, breathing slowly and controlled with longer exhales and
you press for a minimum of 30 seconds while adding pressure and micro-movements until there
is a physiological change, then slowly release. Sometimes you will get a twitch, and pain may
manifest elsewhere in the body, or locally, and it may induce an autonomic phenomenon like
sweating or watering of the eyes, all of these are good signs. You will be releasing blockages,
moving qi, resetting muscle spindles, activating the channel pathways, releasing trigger points,
and eliciting local and systemic effects of the acupressure points themselves! The more it hurts
the more you need it, release the pain and any negative emotions that come with it from your
life by using your mind and your breath to consciously exhale the pain, emotions, and densities.
Use various body parts to treat, your palms, fingers, elbows, and knuckles, and find what is most
comfortable and effective for that specific body part, I use thumbs most. With practice, you will
know what works best. Don't limit yourself to these points, “where there's pain, there's a point”
so release the tender spots above, below, and anywhere your hands intuitively go, and you will
free up more of yourself. Treat yourself daily, even if just for 2 minutes. It's a way to reduce and
eliminate unwanted symptoms and stop dis-ease before it manifests, it’s also an amazing form
of self-love. Love yourself, you are awesome and capable of anything, including being your own
self healer, no one is better at healing you than you!! Now let's get into the points!
Location - In the web of the thumb, find the most painful spot
Location - This point is a mirror of LI4, but on the foot, find the
most tender point between the 2 biggest metatarsals.
Conclusion - There are 365 primary points, over 200 ear points, 100’s of extraordinary points,
and 1000’s of ashi points on the body, this is just 9 primary points and 1 extraordinary point,
each point described has more actions and indications than mentioned, I encourage you to
explore deeper if you got something from this paper! It's cool stuff to know and very helpful!
Next time someone you know has a headache, give their LI4 (Hegu) a squeeze and cure it for
them, squeeze hard for time and show them you care (yes it will hurt)! You will be amazed at
how well it works! I really appreciate you taking the time to read this, give yourself a pat on the
back, or better yet, maybe massage “Ren17” with both hands while saying things you love about
yourself, thank yourself for expanding your knowledge and learning useful skills you can benefit
from yourself and share with others! It feels really good to help someone get out of pain, we are
all healers and teachers, jump on the opportunity to help someone out of pain, you will also help
yourself in the process! Thanks for reading and make it a Great Day
Acupoint photos were taken from “A Manual of Acupuncture” by Peter Deadman, and Mazin
Al-Khafaki with Peter Deadman - This book/app is widely used by acupuncture and Chinese
medicine students across the globe and is the most comprehensive text in English about the
main acupuncture meridians and points. I recommend the book or app if you want to dive deep
into the acupuncture points and theory, and if you're interested in learning how to perform
massage like a pro, I built a course that teaches all of the best techniques my colleague and I
learned from 5 years of massage and Chinese Medicine schooling and decades of private
practice to help anyone master the art of therapeutic touch and connection to heal.
You may use the code “HEALTHARTIST” at checkout as a thank you for supporting my work and

more people like you to release any negative thoughts, energies, and patterns that are holding
you back so you may tap deeper into your gifts and collectively help make this world a better
place, 1 person at a time and watch it ripple out into the masses. Thank you for your presence.
With Love,
Kyle
