Welcome Address
Althea Deus
Today, we gather here to celebrate not only the accomplishments and victories
of our academic journey for the past six years but also the embodiment of
resilience, strength, and the transformative power of education brought by the
pandemic.
With great honor, I stand before you representing the candidates for
graduation inspired by the theme “K to 12 Graduates: Molded through a
Resilient Educational Foundation,” a strong education system that has
equipped us with the necessary tools to face the challenges of the world.
We have spent the past few years living through a pandemic and have
struggled with isolation, mental health, and rampant fake news, but here we
are today, graduating and moving up to high school. Despite all our challenges,
it is important to acknowledge our resilience and strength in navigating these
difficult times. Our ability to persevere in the face of adversity while
maintaining our academic achievements is truly commendable. We have
persisted. We are resilient. We are thriving.
We have finally achieved our initial goal, thanks to the assistance and guidance
of our parents, the often un seen hard work of our teachers, and the nurturing
atmosphere of our Alma mater. Without their support, we may not have been
able to overcome the obstacles that came our way. As we reflect on our
accomplishments, let us remember to express our gratitude to those who have
played a significant role in our success.
