The Nambiyattukudy group markets rice under the name Pavizham, which is currently
Kerala's best-selling brand and has gained widespread recognition. The Namibiyattukudy

twenty-first century. With six autonomous units for the production of rice, it is currently
regarded as Kerala's top producer of rice and rice-related goods. There are five further units

groups in the state with the same production capacity. Pavizham Healthier Diet (P) Ltd, an
ISO 9001-2000 company, was established in 2003. Pavizham is the collective name for the
rice and rice-related goods made by 14 different enterprises, which are spread across a 50-
acre site in Armury, Koovappady Village, Perumbavoor, Kerala DT. These businesses
marketing division is Pavizham Healthier Diet (P) Ltd. The company sells tamarind, salt,
coconut oil, rice bran oil, and other items in addition to rice and rice-related products. The
present patriarch Mr. N P George is referred to as the Chairman and his brother Mr. N P
Antony is the Managing Director of these units, which are owned by various family members
of the Nambiyattukudy. In his early 80s, their late father, Mr. Pappachan, started a traditional
rice mill. However, he passed away before he could see his contemporary rice mill come into
operation. The brothers then together built up the rice milling business that people can see
today with the help of their mother and other family members. The many units have
flourished and prospered over the years thanks to creative ideas, a commitment to quality,
and a humanistic philosophy based on Christian principles. The mills' distinctive features
include contemporary milling equipment imported from China, a cogel power plant, and a
waste water treatment facility based on CSIR technology. The company is a leader in a

brothers thought of an Institution that shall commemorate the memory of their late Father. It
culminated in the formation of a Public Charitable Trust, viz., Nambiyattukudy Pappachan
Memorial Public Charitable Trust which was registered in October 2003, with a corpus fund
provided by Mrs. Aliya Pappachan, their mother. Ever since the formation of the Trust, most
of the charitable and Philanthropical services of the family are routed through the Trust.

HISTORY OF THE ORGANISATION

The Nambiyattukudy Group, one of many industrial conglomerates that emerged in the final
decade of the 20th century, is today regarded as Kerala's leading producer of rice and rice-
elated goods, with six distinct units for the production of the grain. No other industrial
organisations in the State have the same level of output as the Nambiyattukudy Gr Group.
