Tricks and Teach PROGRAM

Mathematics is an essential subject that plays a crucial role in our personal and academic life. It is a
discipline that can be applied mostly in problem-solving, analysis and decision-making which strengthen
our aptitudes. Students and sometimes, teachers as well, have been struggling in recalling formulas and
solving in a long method especially if they only have limited time. Therefore, employing these programs will
aid them with their difficulties in different mathematical concepts.

This program aims to:


- Equip students with mastered fundamental mathematical skills;
- Improve students’ ability and attitude toward Mathematics; and
- Foster easier ways to solve problems at hand in a limited time.

Most of the students have the mindset that whenever they see formulas or long-solving processes, they
would always think that it is hard and would not exert effort to understand it. Also, there are times that even
teachers are in a situation where they need to solve problems immediately that’s why they need to do it in
the fastest and simplest way, hence, this program is proposed.

Program coordinator – The coordinator will be the one who will organize the whole program from the
agreement or permission from the heads of the school to the participants as well as the venue, speaker and
the matters to be discussed.
Speaker - He/she will manage the time allotted for the program. The flow of the program will be depending
upon the discussion he/she will make, but it will be discussed first with the coordinators.
Teachers – They will help to accomplish the program successfully at the same time they will also be the
participants if their time will permit.
Students – they will be the main participants of the said program since this is for the development of their
basic skills and their enthusiasm and attitude towards mathematics.
Project LINE
This program provides opportunities for students to review and learn thoroughly the specific concepts or
competencies that they missed. Also, they can be able to strengthen their basic knowledge and skills in
mathematics with the aid of this tutorial. Moreover, it allows students to have more attention from the
teachers since this kind of program only has a limited number of students, therefore, the approach would
be more personalized which can be a way to overcome their difficulties and gain more confidence as
well as interests in mathematics. This time, they would be more focused and determined to accomplish
the tasks given to them. Furthermore, this is a way for students to ask questions about what concepts
they are having a hard time at the same time for teachers to provide immediate feedback on what the
students are doing so that the learning would instantly be corrected.

Before the activity:


I am excited and eager to start the activity since I know that this would contribute to my growth personally
and professionally. Being included in this activity is an honor because I know that this would be successful
and this will be another one of the book experiences of mine.

After the activity:


I feel delighted since I was right when I said I would enjoy this activity. Although, it is kind of exhausting
because we had a kind of adventure but at least we got to experience this with Mathematics department. I
am also happy to assist them and teach students as well.

- You should be passionate enough to effectively and productively accomplish your duty as an
educator.
- As long as you see that your students are learning, all your exhaustion would eventually vanish
and will be replaced with fulfillment.
- As an educator, you have a huge role in how students would grow, decide and solve problems on
their own.
