Rationale
Understanding student satisfaction with school canteen services is a
crucial aspect of promoting overall student well-being and academic success,
as well as enhancing the effectiveness of the school canteen as a source of
revenue for the school. The school canteen plays a significant role in providing
food services to students and the community, and the quality of these services
can impact the health, academic, and social performance of students.
Therefore, it is important to understand the factors that affect student
satisfaction with the school canteen, such as food quality, pricing, customer
service, and the overall environment of the canteen. Identifying these factors
will enable administrators and canteen personnel to make informed decisions
that improve the overall experience of students and the effectiveness of the
school canteen. This will contribute to the growth, development, and success of
the school community.

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the satisfaction of students to canteen

service quality in Pagbilao National High School. Also, this research sought to
determine the significant impact of canteen service quality on student
satisfaction. Specifically, this study targeted the following questions:

1. What is the level of service quality provided by the school canteen of

Pagbilao National High School in terms of food quality, pricing, customer
service, and canteen environment?
2. What is the level of student satisfaction in the school canteen?
3. Is there a significant relationship between the domains of canteen service
quality (food quality, pricing, customer service, and canteen
environment) and student satisfaction at Pagbilao National High School?
4. What domains of canteen service quality do significantly influence on
student satisfaction in Pagbilao National High School?
