Ans.: A diverse set of technological tools and resources used to transmit, store, create or exchange information is called
ICT.
2.What is Computer Ethics?
Ans.: A set of moral principles or codes of conducts that regulate the use of computers systematically without making
harm to other users is called computer ethics.
3.Why is ethics important in information technology?
Ans.: Ethics is important in computer technology because it helps to regulate the use of computers and make
information and communication technology more effective.
4.List down any four major commandments of computer ethics.
Ans.: Any four major commandments of computer ethics are:
 Don’t use a computer to harm other people.
 Don’t use a computer to publish fake information
 Don’t search the file or record of other people.
 Don’t use a computer to steal someone’s privacy.
5.Define cyber ethics with its objectives.
Ans.: A set of moral rules or codes of behaviour applied to the online environment is called cyber ethics. It is a code of
behaviour for using the internet.
Objective: To establish a culture of proper use of internet and computers.
6.Write two Do’s and Don’t’s of cyber ethics.
Ans.: Any two Do’s of cyber ethics are:
 Do use the internet to help you do your school work.
 Do use the internet to learn about music, video and games.

Any two Don’t’s of cyber ethics are:


 Don’t copy information from the internet and call it your own.
 Don’t use the internet to download or share copy righted material.
7.Define digital citizenship with its elements.
Ans.: Digital citizenship refers to the use of technology as a measure of behaviour responsible for a digital society.
The Elements of Digital Citizenship are: Digital Access, Digital commerce, Digital communication, Digital
literacy, Digital security, and Digital health.
8.Write down any four major qualities of digital citizenship.
Ans.: Any four major qualities of digital citizenship are:
 Respect themselves and others.
 Respect copyright and intellectual property.
 Stay safe online.
 Protect private information.
9.Define digital footprint with its examples.
Ans.: Digital footprint is the data traces of all the online activities that a person performs in ICT.
Examples: Data stored in the database of social medias, cell phone company etc.
10. What is cyber bullying? Write four examples.
Ans.: Cyber bullying is the act of sending, posting or sharing negative, harmful or false or mean content about someone
else over digital world.
Examples:
 Sending rude emails, texts or instant messages online or on the phone.
 Offensive chat on online gaming.
 Posting hurtful things about someone on social media.
 Threatening someone online.
11. Share your thoughts about cyber bullying.
Ans.: Cyber bullying is the act of sending, posting or sharing negative, harmful or false or mean content about someone
else over digital world. It occurs through SMS, text, apps or online in social media. In my view, it is a biggest
crime as it can bring serious problem in an individual’s life as well as family. It spreads negative rumors and
harasses one’s feelings.
12. Define cyber law.
Ans.: The legal issue related to using of inter-networked information technology is called as cyber law.

13. Define ICT policy 2072.
Ans.: The policy revised in 2072 to guide and mainstream the use of ICTs in all sectors of Nepalese economy within the
overall context of socio-economic development which helps in public service delivery and G2G communication is
called ICT policy 2072.
14. What are the vision and mission of ICT policy 2072?
Ans.: VISION: To transform Nepal into an information and knowledge based society.
MISSION: To create condition to develop economic condition, economic sources, political norms etc. and to
change lifestyle of people by removing poverty through use of ICT.
15. Write two major goals of ICT policy.
Ans.: The two major goals of ICT are:
 To promote tourism and communications using ICT techniques.
 To promote E-Commerce and E-Business.
16. What is Electronic Transaction Act (ETA)?
Ans.: The act which deals with issues related to cyber crime and electronic transaction and also helps in making and
implementing laws over cybercrime is called as Electronic Transaction Act (ETA).
17. List out any three objective of ETA.
Ans.: Any three objective of ETA are as follows:
 To make legal provision for authentication and regulation of electronic data.
 To make a reliable data generation, date generation, communication and transmission.
 To make a secured and authentic means of electronic communication.

each other.

Ans.: The unauthorized access to computer systems or networks is known as hacking.

malware, Trojan etc.
