Explain some of the ways in which humans are damaging the environment.

What can governments do to address these problems? What can individual

people do?

In the last couple of decades, our environment has threatened by human beings
in different ways, but it is our responsibility to reduce the amount of damage.
This essay will discuss environmental problems and the measures that
governments and individuals can take to address these problems.
Two main threats to environment are global warming and endangered species.
Global warming is the biggest problem in the world, which governments now are
taking action to solve this international dilemma. Global warming may lead to
melting ice in Antarctica, which is the cause of rising sea levels, and consuming
more energy. Air pollution is the main reason of global warming. In addition,
endangered species hunt by humans and sold in black markets. For example, in
my country, leopards are close to extinction due to illegal hunting for their skin.
This phenomenon has profound impact on the ecosystem and has negative
consequences on the environment.
First of all, governments are obligated to provide suitable infrastructures for
public transport system, thereby reducing air pollution. Authorities should
prohibit illegal hunting of endangered species and appropriate facilities should
be provided to keep such species safe. On the other hand, individuals should raise
their awareness of the effects that these problems can have. For instance, they
can use bicycles instead of their personal cars. Furthermore, they have to report
when they see endangered species and donate to centres which are responsible
for keeping these kinds.
In conclusion, no gain is too slight to bother with. In other words, every tiny
improvement by both governments and individuals on helping our environment
counts.
