My Food Story
Then we have a food that I also love and that is bread dumplings.
In Germany we call it Semmelknoedel, which are dumplings made
out of bread, mostly you use older bread or breadcrumbs. You
can eat these things with many different side dishes but I think
they taste best with a mushroom cream sauce. In Germany bread
dumplings and other kinds of dumplings are also mostly eaten
with meat, for example roast pork, which is also one of the
famous Bavarian dishes.
Than we have a dish that we eat in my family just on one day and
that's the christmas evening in germany we call it Koenigenpastet
i think in english you say puff pastry with ragout but when you
translate the german word than its something like queen pie.
Normally you eat this kind of puff pastry with ragout that's here
meat and mushrooms, but I am a vegetarian so I eat the pastry
just with mushrooms which taste great. I love this dish because it
is always something very special. Before we eat this there are
some appetizers.
I don't like the most of normal salads, but one of the salads that I
eat and prefer is Greek Salad, that food is great when it get hotter
in the summer, you made this with tomatoes, papers, cucumber,
onions and feta and just olive oil, I think that's the reason why I
don't like other salads because I hate vinegar.
